The James Phillips, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

The Firearm Firm is proud to support future lawyers with the launch of their first-ever Military Veterans applying to Law School, awarded to one high-achieving, bright student intending to pursue a career in law within the United States.

At The Firearm Firm, we believe there is no career nobler that a military veteran could choose than the practice of law. That’s why we are offering a $1,000 scholarship for veterans pursuing a Juris Doctor degree.

We believe strongly in the work that our men and women in uniform perform both at home and overseas, and we believe that veterans bring a sense of ethics, justice, and order that will serve them well in the field of law—and ultimately, will bolster the results they can achieve for their clients.

For all students, post-secondary education can be daunting. The cost of college and law school is never inconsequential and law students face a level of competition that is unheard of in most fields of study. We hope that this scholarship will help make it possible for a veteran to overcome financial obstacles and focus all of their effort on delivering their top performance as a student. We believe that everyone who dreams of practicing law should have the opportunity to do exactly that, based on nothing but their own merits.

To qualify for our James Phillips, Sr. Memorial Scholarship, you must be either active military or retired from military service (any branch). You must be either:

Currently enrolled in an accredited law school, or accepted to attend law school at an accredited institution within the United States.

We encourage all eligible candidates to apply and look forward to awarding this scholarship.
